Our safeguarding promise

The game is for
everyone. Safely.

ScoutView contains young players, so safeguarding is not a feature we add later. It is the way the platform works from the first upload to the first conversation. No player profile goes live without recorded parental consent, and no player contact details are ever shown.

No private contact details

A player’s phone number, email address and home address never appear on ScoutView. Not to scouts, not to other teams, not publicly. Profiles show a player’s name, age group, position, team and footage only.

Parental consent comes first

A player profile only goes live on ScoutView once their team has recorded consent from a parent or guardian. No consent recorded means no public profile and no publicly viewable footage.

Adults stay in the loop

Every player profile is managed by a team official, parent or guardian. Contact requests go through an authorised adult — never directly to a child.

Verification before access

Scouts identify themselves and their club or organisation. Restricted content and contact tools are available only after verification.

Report anything that feels wrong

Teams, parents and scouts can report a concern about any profile. We review reports, moderate content and remove accounts that break our community rules.

Community rules

No inappropriate contact. No requests for private details. No sharing footage outside its agreed privacy setting. No discrimination, harassment or behaviour that puts a young person at risk. Breaking these rules means removal from ScoutView and may be referred to the relevant safeguarding body.

Built into every team, player and scout journey

Questions or concerns? Tell the authorised team official first, then report it to ScoutView.
